  • tina mohr My legs are severely swollen right now, getting the compression hose on is SO difficult, and it digs into my ankles and HURTS so much I rip them off in a few minutes.  And besides lymphedema, I also have diabetes. My legs and feet are very big, hurt and burn constantly, especially when I try to sleep. It's horrible. I want to try one of the wraps, but I can't afford them. My lymphedema is in BOTH legs, so i would need TWO, plus custom due to my size. We are talking hundreds, maybe thousands. I'm lucky to scrape up $50 for a regular pair, being on disability. Could I wear my regular pair of compression hose OVER a pair of regular (diabetic) socks? To ease the pain of the material digging in to my skin?  ANY suggestions PLEASE, I have been looking on the internet for months, spoke to 2 doctors and a specialist. I cannot get any help. Thank you so much in advance...

  • Jeanne Gentzler Hello. I'm a patient and brand new to this site. I have lymphadema secondary to chronic venous insufficiency and pelvic congestion syndrome. I'm seeking any info, research or therapists about the connection between lymphedema and the venous system. I would appreciate any direction you can give.  Thanks guys!

  • Jeannine Patria Looking for a clinical trial for lower extremity lymphedema caused by cancer therapy and extensive radiation.  Have continuous physical therapy, wear compression garments 24-7.  Left leg responds but right does not due (we think) to scar tissue from previous surgeries.  Have been told not a candidate for lymph transfer due to radiation.  Is lymph fluid liposuction successful? Any new treatments out there?

  • Peggy Amsler Hi. I am a cancer survivor, tongue cancer 2011. I am a massage therapist for 14 years and after cancer I got trained in the Vodder method of Manual Lymphatic Drainage. I am fully trained to treat lymphedema patients. I joined this group to let people with lymphedema know that there is help.  I have seen the results and would be happy to talk to anyone who has questions.
