Did everyone see where they are telling people not to have mammograms until they are in their 50's? We need to stand up and say something. Just think-if we have our mammograms and prevent and or detect early and treat, we are knocking out lymphedema in that area. A majority of lymphedema patients are breast cancer patients and if we get our mammograms early, it can detect cancer and it can be taken care of early and may prevent it from happening. The purpose for mammograms-DUH. We must face cancer head on and do what we can to prevent it in the beginning and that prevents lymphedema. I do Relay for Life every year and educate on Lymphedema. We need to do whatever it takes and to get mammograms and not to have to wait is helping in the lymphedema area as well. What can we do about the health issues here in the U.S.? Something has got to be done. I am writing letters for the all american lymphedema walk and will start writing for the mammogram issue now. I need everyone's help, please help.
