  Angel Flores hey all, new to this site. I'm hoping to find some good info on this condition, i have recently been diagnosed with lymphedema on both of my legs lower region(knees and lower). this is not fun at all. i have been battling this for the last 3 years...  morehey all, new to this site. I'm hoping to find some good info on this condition, i have recently been diagnosed with lymphedema on both of my legs lower region(knees and lower). this is not fun at all. i have been battling this for the last 3 years without getting diagnosed and have been hospitalized 3 times for cellulitis.  
  
  
  this past week i started my therapy sessions doing MLD and compression wrapping,ugghh this wrapping really really sucks, so uncomfortable,itchy,scratchy and painful,smh.
  
  
  i want to see the bright side of this  less

    Angel Flores yes my therapist is a CLT, i just started my treatment this week, i'm on my 3rd visit and so far i'm happy with them.

    Jim Miller I'm sorry you got this. Absolutely, lymphedema really stinks. I've had it for almost 45 years in my left leg and now in my right. Angel, please stick with the MLD and the compression. It made a big difference in my old lymphedema. If this treatment had...  moreI'm sorry you got this. Absolutely, lymphedema really stinks. I've had it for almost 45 years in my left leg and now in my right. Angel, please stick with the MLD and the compression. It made a big difference in my old lymphedema. If this treatment had been around 40 years ago my leg never would have become this bad. If you stay on top of it, Angel, from the start, your leg will be much more comfortable in the future. Trust your therapist. Insist on a proper garment fit when that time comes. And hang in there.  less

    Jim Miller Angel, if your compression wrap is itchy, scratchy and painful maybe something's being done incorrectly? What do the rest of you CLT people think? My compression experience isn't like that. Yeah, it sucks, but not that. Any thoughts?

    Nancy Noonan I don't have the agility to put on the bandages so I went to Farrow Wraps. They go on with a velcro connection - no wrapping around the legs like bandages. There is a separate foot piece if you need that. They come in two fabrics - a lite and regular -...  moreI don't have the agility to put on the bandages so I went to Farrow Wraps. They go on with a velcro connection - no wrapping around the legs like bandages. There is a separate foot piece if you need that. They come in two fabrics - a lite and regular - depending on the compression you need. Ask your therapist about them. I have the problem with both legs.
