As I removed him from the desk, he grazed my LE arm with his teeth and, for the first time, I saw a significant drainage of lymphatic fluid. Purely clear, a thin watery discharge.
After observing for a while, I applied antibiotic and then bandaged, thinking the pressure might encourage further drainage. It seems to have done so, still seeping now - three hours later.
My therapy/training does not encourage having fluid drained. My retention areas are forearm and upper arm, only two of twenty two nodes remaining. Any thoughts? less

Brenda Tollefson Seeing how many have joined this site in recent days testifies to the scope of LE's outreach! Thank goodness we have each other ... strength in numbers, right? Knowledge is power.

About once a year I experience a flare-up and hindsight usually reveals the errors of my ways! I've noticed several things that form a pattern:
1. Lifting heavy things (when I know better but just want to get something done) triggers trouble
2. Extended driving triggers trouble
3. Each flare-up is worse than the last
4. These episodes are sometimes accompanied by unrelated illness, such as respiratory infection or, in today's case, diverticulitis.
I hope these observations are helpful. I look forward to reading posts of others and being more active on this blog. less
