Waiting to qualify for Medicaid, therapist cannot do anything for me until then. Till then I sit and hurt, we've been wrapping me at home but the wraps seem to hurt me too after awhile, don't know if we are doing it write. What can I do to help myself? So sorry to hear about your struggles right now with your lymphedema. I realize that things may seem bleak, but hang in there. U r doing all the right things for yourself with the self bandaging. Try doing deep abdominal breathing while laying down to assist with relaxation and fluid movement through your stomach. We r here for u for support and know that things can only get better once u start therapy.

lymphedema wrapping must be done by a lymphedema therapist. doing it the wrong way can cause more problems much worse block the blood flow and cause pain.
Bonnie Smith → Brenna M.: Hi Brenna, how are you doing since your surgery? I just recently have been diagnosed with abdominal and leg lymphedema. I just like to have someone to talk to. Hope all is well with you. Bonnie
