My 3-mo-old grandson was born with a very enlarged scrotum. The pediatrician was not worried--said this is normal? When I babysit I notice that the swelling has become fibrotic and very discolored. There is still no concern on the parents part because the doc keeps telling them it is normal. Could this be a form of primary lymphedema of the genitalia? Looking through the Foeldi text there are photos of adult males with genitals that look just like this baby's. Am I being over-concerned?

Anyone with experience treating edema of UE's and face from SVC syndrome? Lymphatic massage has been ordered. I'm just trying to get some insight on issues, techniques, and experiences to use/look for when I eval them. Thanks!
