Any of you (L.E. lymphedema folks) out there have a desk job/career?  How do You cope with sitting much of the day?  Any of you out there stumbled across things that worked for you?

[We're to not sit / stand longer than 30 min.] How do You bring that in to your work day?  95% plus of my work requires me to sit at my desk.  Small office... not many hallways to walk through to get movement.

(i.e. I elevate legs as often & best as one can in an office chair w/ a 'lil foot stool; my tail bone & hip(s) are raw/soar from odd positions in my chair, my feet/legs will go numb if I lose track of the time & elevate too long w/o getting up to walk around. - a pillow is the closest i've come to any thing that helps in the slightest.)

Would Love to hear 'brainstorming' ideas from others that deal with the same troubles! :-)  less

Laney Brackman I have to sit a lot at work, too, but I manage to get up and walk around a good bit. I read about some exercises you can do on a plane here http://lymphedemagirl.blogspot.com/p/my-in-flight-exercises.html

      Maybe that will help!

Tessa Warnick Is there an 'eco' friendly way for disposing of your old bandages?  (i.e. foam & cotton padding & the short-stretch bandages)  Any one know?

Steve Norton I would recommend donating your old short stretch bandages to the clinic or therapist you have been treated at (assuming this is the...

Tessa Warnick Any one have (attend) local 'support group(s)', where they live for living with lymphedema?

Tessa Warnick Do you find they're helpful / would suggest to have others attend? It seems to me some thing I wish I could find near me.
