  Kimberly Book Hello Everyone!  Thank you for allowing me to join this wonderful group I just received my certification in KC in December 2011 and I have a question for all of you.  My boss and I are putting together a form letter that we are going to send out to...  moreHello Everyone!  Thank you for allowing me to join this wonderful group I just received my certification in KC in December 2011 and I have a question for all of you.  My boss and I are putting together a form letter that we are going to send out to possible referring physicians.  I was wondering if there are any specific specialties that I should focus on (obviously oncology and a few others).  But I was wondering if you get a high number of referrals from other doctors that I wouldn't think to send a letter out them.  If you have any thoughts or comments let me know.

    Endres Catherine Hey Kim , we have marketed to vascular surgeons, wound care centers, ect. We have some primary care physicians that we have specifically talked to. My primary referral is from our wound care center. Hope that helps . . Cathy

    Staff Certified Lymphedema Therapist Hi Kim, in the past 11 years of working with lymphedema patients I have received referrals from a lot of different specialists. the most common were Radiation Oncologists, Oncologists, Vascular surgeons, breast surgeons, general surgeons, physiatrists,...  moreHi Kim, in the past 11 years of working with lymphedema patients I have received referrals from a lot of different specialists. the most common were Radiation Oncologists, Oncologists, Vascular surgeons, breast surgeons, general surgeons, physiatrists, cardiologists, podiatrists, gynecologists, just to name a few! If you work for a hospital, it is important to get your staff physicians on board with your program. Good luck to you!
