A friend told me that there are two makers of thigh high leather laced boots, Whites Boots, and Wesco boots. They are 100% custom made.

Warning about errors with garment orders

My specialist ordered and I paid for a Jobst 5 toe seamless toe cap through Comfort & Care.  Jobst manufactured a 4 toe seamless toe cap with a large unhemmed cutout for the little toe, which is unsuitable for my foot.  My therapist complained about the error and was told that Jobst won't make a 5 toe seamless toe cap, 4 toes is their maximum.  They said a credit for the original order would be issued if she reordered and I paid for the new order.  So she ordered a 5 toe version with a seam, but changed some of the measurements because of the different construction.  Jobst refused to issue a credit because of the changes, even though they won't make what was originally ordered.  They claim that any changes relieve them (and all manufacturers) of any responsibility for errors fulfilling original orders.
Moral:  Be very careful when trying to get manufacturers' errors corrected.

Staff Certified Lymphedema Therapist Ordering garments can be quite complicated. Why could you not order a seamed 5 toe cap? Maybe your therapist should get in touch with her local rep for Jobst. They can be very helpful when there are order complications. Good luck!

Jim Boylan She (my therapist) could order a seamed 5 toe cap, which she finally had to do. Originally, she specified a seamless 5 toe cap, but Jobst sent a seamless 4 toe cap with the excuse that they don't make seamless 5 toe caps.

    Jim Boylan Wrapping Standards
How are the standards for wrapping swollen limbs made?  Is there any provision for public or patient input and comment about future revisions?

Some men's trousers made of less expensive synthetic cloth have some stretch in

them, so they cling to the wrapping, but aren't too loose on the other leg.  Could

you get away with wearing sportsmen's tights or sweat pants?

I would like to compare our experiences.  less

I found some shorts mfg. by Dickies, they have a "loose fit" size which has more room in the seat and legs, also come in a 13" inseam which covers most of the wrap. They are pretty bagging with lots of room. Still working on the shoes though.

      Thsnks for your reply.

Is there anyone else here who is male with no breasts removed or any cancer or known injuries, but with just 1 swollen leg at age 53?  I'm sorry if I have intruded on a female Group.

    Thanks,
