There were nurses, physical...  moreHey, I just completed my training as a lymphedema therapist and wound specialist.  My goodness, it was extremely informative and so packed with pertinent information.  The days were long, the curriculum excellent. There were nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapist and assistants as well as lymphedema therapist in this class.  The days were very long.  I wasn't sure that I was going to make it through for a variety of reasons.  Now, my goal is to work with lymphedema patients but do not know how to go about this.  I know that there is private, but I would much prefer to work within a clinic where I can observe the clientele, the pace of the clinic and learn and hone my newly learned techniques in the MLD and bandaging techniques.  I live in Miami, teach part time and would have three days during the week to devote to this endeavor.  I would appreciate any information, any invitations to join their team, etc.  I care and have experience as a nurse, arnp, and lmt.  I am equipped.  Oh and I am nice which sometimes comes off as weakness.  It is not.  It is merely me and the way I am. Patients regard me as being understanding and empathetic.  They greatly appreciate this.  less
