  linda e so i have had lymphedema in both legs since at least 2014. It was misdiagnosed a couple of times, I was given advice to take water pills and sleep more. Finally another doctor who was listening in on that last bit of advice, sent me to a specialist who...  moreso i have had lymphedema in both legs since at least 2014. It was misdiagnosed a couple of times, I was given advice to take water pills and sleep more. Finally another doctor who was listening in on that last bit of advice, sent me to a specialist who diagnosed me and put the fear of the Almighty in me about scratching the rashes i was getting (you all know, you dont want to break the skin) So i am fortunate, we have specialists here, and therapists, Even so, you are mostly on your own with this. I have periods where i lose ground and periods where i stay even, Times i don't feel like trying and times i over-do it. Sometime on the same day. I am trying physical therapy again, Starting with water therapy, which is going well. I highly recommend it.  less

    margaret webb I have heard going in the pool helps but it takes me so long to put the wraps on. Doing that daily with my shower takes forever. I can not understand how I would do it twice a day. Any suggestions?

    margaret webb I don'don't know where to post this but I have a question for everyone. I wear the hospital shoes for broken toes so I can tighten or loosen them during the day. How do others deal with them in wet weather? Any suggestions would help. Thanks

    Carol Fuller I enjoyed pool therapy and found it quite effective. I did find that I needed to protect my skin from the chlorine.

    Jo Scarborough Hello Linda, I am a new member and need all the support I can get...I had to go up 2 sizes in shoes so I can wear while my feet and ankles are wrapped, they look huge so I wear longer pants to hide the shoes...what we have to go through!!!
