I have lymphedema in my right leg and left leg calf. I fell and tore my rotator cuff and am getting surgery on Feb 2nd. Does anyone know if by getting surgery on my shoulder, do I run the risk of getting lyphedema in my arm? The lymphedema is in my legs,but will surgery opoen up the chance of getting it in my arm? I'm worried about that happening. Anyone have any info with this question? I'd appreciate any help.

donna brownJim, I'm renting it with Blue Cross permission from Tactile Systems. I have approval for three months and then have a evaluation on its help. I only have to pay my $15 deductible.

I have a fluid bubble there and can't wrap it that high. I wear biker shorts but they only give so much compression. I am going to appeal it, but I was so hoping to get it soon. I have no idea how expensive renting can be.

Also, you need to get sized for the flexitouch. The flexitouch also comes with a waist extender.

I actually purchase boots, mostly cause I live in Texas, but also because they can stretch them to fit my left swollen leg. They also let me buy two different sizes.

Hi Donna. It has helped, but like everything, it is a slow process. I just started it a month ago and haven't seen anything dramatic, but if I stop drinking the iced mocha lattes I am sure I will be better off and my insurance did approve it. I have Oxford.
